Should Corporate America Be Fighting Hard on the Side of Democracy?

There’s a video of 14 minutes that explores that question.

This is suggestive of some of what’s in it:

Are they entitled to stand on the sidelines when "liberty and justice for all" is on the line?

Is Corporate America fine with this Fascistic takeover, thinking they'd do fine even if Democracy is slain by this force behind Trump and Project 2025?

Maybe they like the idea of Plutocrats taking control, and Government that’s “for the people” be dismantled.

Yet the American economy that Corporate America grows out of has been possible because of the basic values of liberty that Trump and Co. are threatening.

No patriot would stand by when people who took an oath to defend the Constitution are working to overthrow it.

I think there's no reason they're entitled to stand by when America's fundamental nature is at stake. Silence is Consent.

The Conflict between Democracy and Fascism is so fundamental that the corporate world has a moral duty to speak out for the Soul of America.

Again, the video is here: “Should the Corporate World Be Fighting Hard in Defense of Democracy?”

*******************************

Adding this, a comment I wrote in response to the idea that the corporate world would do just fine if Fascism wins the current battle:

I think there is historic evidence that going over to Fascism from Democracy does not help the corporate world ultimately. (Anyone know about what the record shows?)

But even if it is in their interest to let Trump and Musk run amok, there may be benefits to have people publicly calling on corporate America rally in defense of America’s traditions of Democracy and the Rule of Law. Calling on them, meaning also calling them out.

People are not even paying attention to whether they are speaking out. They’re allowed to sit the whole thing out, without anyone noticing that they’re not saying a word about the most profound political battle in American history.

Call attention to the question: Where do you stand on the Rule of Law?
